Olympiacos has a chance to return to the top of the EuroLeague standings with a win over last-placed ALBA Berlin in Round 33. Ahead of the game at Uber Arena, coach Georgios Bartzokas discussed the team’s situation.

The Greek tactician stated that although Keenan Evans has made the squad, his participation against ALBA is not 100% certain. He will discuss it with him to determine whether he should play so soon after returning to team training.

He also mentioned Moustapha Fall, Nikola Milutinov, and Evan Fournier, whom he expects to play against Maccabi Tel Aviv next week, as well as Thomas Walkup and Luca Vildoza.

We have many absences, which make our training and game preparation difficult, ultimately affecting our level of performance. We have 11 players, and we will do our best to win. Fortunately, everyone is in the process of returning, most of them very soon. Fournier, Milutinov, and Fall are expected to play against Maccabi, barring any setbacks. Walkup and Evans are in the final stage of their recovery. Vildoza will take a bit longer. We believe we will be as ready as possible for the playoffs.

When asked whether Keenan Evans would play against ALBA, he said:

Keenan has been practicing with the team this week. Ideally, he should play his first official game after 10 days, meaning 2-3 weeks of team training after a year-long absence. He is traveling with us, and we have one more practice today. We will all discuss together, and I will talk with him to see how he feels. He looks very good in practice, but we must not rush things—he also needs to feel psychologically ready,” Bartzokas concluded.
