The votes are in, and the Coach of the Year, the Rising Star, and the Best Defender have been announced.
Still, the All-EuroLeague team and the MVP are next, and anticipation is higher than ever with a close race between Olympiacos‘ Sasha Vezenkov, Panathinaikos‘ Kendrick Nunn, and Paris’ TJ Shorts.
EuroLeague asked five players, including Nunn, about their hypothetical votes, and the star guard of Panathinaikos didn’t hide behind the bush, voting himself as the MVP, plus Vezenkov, Shorts, Fenerbahce‘s Nigel Hayes-Davis, and Real Madrid‘s Walter “Edy” Tavares as the best five players of the league.

On top of that, his teammate in Panathinaikos, Juancho Hernangomez, also voted for Nunn, plus Shorts, Vezenkov, Hayes-Davis, and his brother Willy Hernangomez for the best five.
Tavares voted Nunn, Vezenkov, Hayes-Davis, and his teammate Facundo Campazzo in the best five, picking Vezenkov as the MVP.
The Rising Star winner Nadir Hifi voted his teammate in Paris, TJ Shorts, as the MVP, and also Bayern’s Carsen Edwards, Monaco’s Alpha Diallo, Vezenkov, and Tavares for the best five.
Last but not least, Efes‘ star Shane Larkin voted for Shorts, Nunn, Vezenkov, Hayes-Davis, and Edwards, giving his MVP vote to Shorts.
Larkin’s might be the most important vote, since he has the right to give also an official vote being the captain of Anadolu Efes.
Voting for the All-EuroLeague Team opened on Monday, March 31, and ended on Monday, April 14, right after the Regular Season had concluded and before the Play-In Showdown started.
This season, the votes of head coaches and team captains will each account for 35% of the total, while media members will make up another 20%, and the fan vote will be worth 10%.
