According to reports from Spain, Euroleague has already made some decisions regarding which teams will fill some of the remaining spots in the new season’s competition.
16 clubs will participate in the 2016/2017 Euroleague. Eleven with closed contracts, the winner of Eurocup, one after a preliminary round and three more. According to Spanish journalist Jose Ignacio Huguet, of Mundo Deportivo, these 3 spots will be covered by Darussafaka Dogus, one team from ABA League and one team either from the German BBL or VTB League.
