FIBA invited Galatasaray to participate in the upcoming Champions league but the Turkish team insisted that the club’s priority is to play in Euroleague.
Here is what the General Manager of Galatasaray, Omer Yalcinkaya, said on Radyospor.com
“FIBA made the invitation but our priority is Euroleague. We wait for an answer by Euroleague. If Euroleague excludes us from the competition, then we might participate in the Champions league. We still haven’t decided yet. Champions League can be a good league if it is well organized”, were Yalcinkaya’s comments.
