More injury woes for Barcelona were announced today as Shane Lawal suffered a torn meniscus in his left knee during the last Euroleague game against Zalgiris Kaunas.
The center of the Catalans will undergo an arthroscopy and after the procedure the exact time of his absence from the courts will be known. However such an injury may mean that he will be absent for the rest of the Top16. It’s a heavy blow for the team of coach Xavi Pascual which still has a long road ahead in order to get to the Euroleague playoffs.
UPDATE: On the 17th of February the club announced officially that the player will stay out of action for three months.
