DJ White of Auxilium CUS Torino is the new name which was linked with Olympiacos, as the Reds are still on the market for a center and the clock of the Euroleague transfers deadline is ticking.
However, the American center is not going to leave Italy, as the GM of Torino Renato Pasquali stated to Eurohoops: “DJ doesn’t have any buyout, there’s no request from Olympiacos and there’s no chance to let him go”. The situation is quite simple in this case. As Pasquali explains a financial offer by the Reds will not change anything: “We are a financially stable club and we don’t need money. For sure DJ will stay with us till the end of season. We have to avoid the relegation and we need him”.
A former NBA player for the Oklahoma City Thunder, Charlotte and Boston, White started the season in the Italian Legabasket after signing with Torino. Last year he played for a short period of time with Laboral Kutxa, he made his Euroleague debut and then he signed in China with the Fujian Sturgeons.
