Mehmet Okur’s son, Yigit, is moving to Barcelona, as he announced on social media.
Born in 2010, Okur junior averaged 9.4 points, 4.7 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game, shooting 42% in threes, in the recent Eurobasket U16 as his team finished 10th in the final standings.
The young forward (2,03) was born and raised in the US, as the Okur family currently resides in San Diego, California.
It has to be noted that Omer Kutluay, son of another former Turkish NBA player, Ibo Kutluay, is already part of the Real Madrid junior system.
