The dispute between Olympiacos and Thomas Walkup continues to escalate.
The experienced guard failed to report for the medical and fitness examinations scheduled by the reigning EuroLeague champions on Thursday morning. His absence was not excused.
Olympiacos will now summon Walkup to provide an explanation as part of a disciplinary proceeding.
The latest development comes after the 33-year-old guard submitted a unilateral written notice seeking to terminate his contract and requested his immediate release.
The Greek club rejected his request and insisted that his contract remains valid until the summer of 2027, while warning that it would pursue every available legal remedy to protect its rights if he failed to report.
The two sides are expected to settle their differences in court, as their relationship appears to have deteriorated past the point of no return.
