Coach Aleksander Sekulic’s influence on Barça was evident from the start. The team played at a high tempo and with hard defense in the first preseason game against MoraBanc Andorra, which ended with a 101-96 road win.
Tyrese Martin (17 p.) and Stanley Umude (14 p.) were the top scorers for the winning side
All signings were available for coach Sekulic except Tosan Evbuomwan (shoulder subluxation) and Yoan Makoundou. Kevin Punter did not play. Young prospect Mohamed Dabone also got his minutes in his preseason debut.
Although Barça dominated the first quarter, Andorra responded to tie the score at halftime (48-46).
Barça controlled the second half from the defensive end, but Andorra rallied in the final seconds to send the game into overtime (88-88). In the extra five minutes of action, Stanley Umude and Josh Nebo helped secure the victory.
