Crvena Zvezda achieved a significant away victory, defeating Dubai 77-58 in the fourth round.
The top scorer for Zvezda was Jordan Nwora with 20 points, Semi Ojeleye had 12 points and seven rebounds, while Jared Butler added 11. For Dubai, Dwayne Bacon scored 13 points, Toko Shengelia had 12, and Elie Okobo scored ten.
Zvezda played powerful defense in an away game where victories are rare, holding Dubai to just 58 points. Early in the second quarter, coach Ibon Navarro’s team made a 13-0 run, gaining a lead they maintained until the end, achieving a near-routine victory.
Both teams now have a 2-2 record. In the next round, Zvezda will visit ASVEL, while Dubai will face Baskonia in Vitoria.
First win of the season for Maccabi
Maccabi also achieved a victory at the same time as Zvezda, defeating Olimpia Milano 97-79 in Belgrade.
After three losses at the start, Oded Kattash’s team responded excellently, securing a convincing triumph by winning all four quarters. The hosts made a crucial difference at the end of the third quarter with a 7-0 run, reaching a double-digit lead (74-62), and then easily maintained the advantage until the end.
Yam Madar led the Israelis to victory with 17 points, Bonzie Colson added 13, as did Jaylen Hoard, while Roman Sorkin scored 12. For the visitors, Moses Wright dominated with 23 points and eight rebounds, and Alec Peters was the only other double-digit scorer with 12.
Virtus celebrates in Munich
Virtus Bologna also secured a victory, defeating Bayern 94-87 in Munich.
Alex Mumbru’s team continued to deliver very strong performances, achieving their second win on the road in Munich.
Wendell Moore led the visitors with 20 points and nine rebounds, Bobi Klintman added 15, while Marcus Carr finished the game with 13 points. On the other side, Oscar Da Silva was the best with 18 points, the same number added by Duane Washington.
PAO wins the spectacle against Fener
In one of the most intriguing matches of the round, Panathinaikos defeated Fenerbahce in Athens with a score of 92-74.
In a meeting between two teams competing for the EuroLeague title, and in the matchup of Zeljko Obradovic‘s current and former clubs, the Greens secured a victory, leaving them with a 4-0 record after four rounds.
It turned out that PAO made the key difference at the end of the third quarter, which they won 21-14, and they easily maintained their advantage until the end.
Mathias Lessort dominated with 19 points and seven rebounds, same as Nigel Hayes-Davis, while Sylvain Francisco added 17 points and seven assists. For Fenerbahce, Braxton Key was the top scorer with 13 points and six rebounds, while Johnny Juzang added 10.
Valencia remains undefeated
Valencia recorded their fourth win of the Euroleague season by defeating Hapoel Tel Aviv 93-82 in the fourth round.
Last year’s Final Four participant continued to deliver excellent performances, with the Spaniards gaining a crucial advantage in the first quarter, which they won 29-17.
Kameron Taylor was the best for Valencia with 17 points, TJ Shorts added 15 points and seven assists, and five players from the home team scored in double digits. For Hapoel, Antonio Blakeney was outstanding with 30 points, while Elijah Bryant, MVP of the previous two rounds, had 12 points and nine rebounds.
Real defeats Partizan for their first win
Real Madrid secured their first Euroleague victory only in the fourth round, defeating Partizan 86-76 on their home court.
In a matchup between two teams with records of 0-3 and 3-0, Real managed to overcome Joan Peñarroya’s team, propelled by a brilliant first half, which Real won 53-37.
Partizan tried to rally, closing the gap to six points, but the hosts extended their lead again and secured the victory.
Theo Maledon scored 13 points, while Facundo Campazzo was also in double figures with 12. For Partizan, Carlik Jones was once again the best with 19 points, while Ethan Thompson added 14.
