Zalgiris achieved a triumph in Kaunas in the seventh round of the Euroleague, as they comfortably defeated ASVEL, with a score of 105-85.

After two consecutive losses last week, Zalgiris returned to the winning track, with the decision effectively made in the first half, which the home team won 50-35. In the continuation, Tomas Masiulis’ team only increased the lead and eventually came to a convincing triumph.

Carson Edwards led Zalgiris with 16 points, Jonas Valanciunas added one less with eight rebounds, while Azuolas Tubelis had 14. Saben Lee was also excellent in the absence of Nigel Williams-Goss with 12 points and seven assists.

For the guests, Hugo Besson had 13 points, one more than Jae Crowder, while Mark Owen Dada Fodzo added ten.

Fenerbahce toppled Olympiacos in a Semifinals rematch

Fenerbahce recorded a triumph in the seventh round of the Euroleague, as they were better than Olympiacos away in a very tough match, with a score of 64-61.

Shavon Shields was the best for the Turkish team with 17 points, Wade Baldwin added 14, while Shane Larkin scored 13 points for Fenerbahçe.

On the other side, Sasha Vezenkov achieved a double-double with 17 points and ten rebounds, Codi Miller-McIntyre had 12, and Tyson Ward scored 11 points. It should also be noted that Olympiacos was without the help of Tyler Dorsey, Jean Montero, and Evan Fournier.

We saw very tough basketball in Athens, and the host managed to hold Fenerbahce to just 24 points in the first half. However, little by little, Sarūnas Jasikevicius’ team erased the deficit, came back from 16 points behind, and in the final minute completed a major comeback, thus breaking the current champion.

Olympiacos could have forced overtime in the last attack, Sasha Vezenkov was completely open but missed the entire basket, so Fener secured a victory in one of the most exciting matches of the week.

Valencia wins in Paris

In the last match of the round, Valencia secured a victory, defeating Paris 104-93 in an away game that predictably brought many points.

TJ Shorts was impressive with 25 points and nine assists against his former club, Armani Brooks scored 22 points, while Neal Sako added seven.

For Paris, who again played without Nadir Hifi, Jared Rhoden scored 20 points, while Allan Dokossi and Jeremy Morgan each had 11.
