The Russian power forward’s bad luck doesn’t seem to run out. Viktor Khryapa was plagued with another injury, now breaking his left hand during the VTB League game against Unics Kazan. He will be sidelined indefinitely.
This is not the first obstacle that CSKA’s captain has to face during the current season. Khryapa had also been injured in the Euroleague game against Darussafaka in Istanbul and was then forced to undergo a surgery that kept him out of action for almost 2 months.
After he returned to courts he was more than helpful for his team, averaging 6.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1 blocks in the Top 16. He had also been named the top Russian player in VTB league for February.
