Barcelona prevailed with ease over Brose Baskets and the Catalans are now ready to qualify for the playoffs. The 75-57 win for the player of coach Pascual gives them a huge advantage and no matter what happens next, a road win over Zalgiris Kaunas will get them in the next round.
Defense was the key for the hosts, who kept the Germans in just 23 points during the first half (12 in the first quarter and 11 in the second) and a balanced offensive effort gave them a 20 points lead (43-23). Nothing changed after that with the hosts cruising for the rest of the way and having always a double digits advantage.
Alex Abrines with 13 points was the top scorer of the winners, Ante Tomic added 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists, Justin Doellman also scored 12 and Carlos Arroyo had 11 points. However, one of the key players for the win was Joey Dorsey with 8 points, 9 rebounds, one block and huge defensive presence.
Bradley Wanamaker with 16 points was the only player of the guests who scored in double digits. In total Brose Baskets finished the game with 12 assists and 15 turnovers, Barcelona found the way to disrupt their offense and with just 3/17 threes, even if the hosts also shot just 4/19, the Germans couldn’t do much.
