After winning three out of its five games in the previous month, Laboral Kutxa is not only headed to the Euroleague playoffs from the first time since 2013, but it is doing so from a position of strength. The Basques will play in the quarterfinals with the home-court advantage and the one who primarily have to thank for it is no other than Giannis Bourousis. The MVP of the month in Euroleague.
With his performances in March, Bourousis simply confirmed that he is by far the best center in the competition right now and one of the absolute top performers in general. The Greek pivot’s numbers during this last month are certainly impressive (18.4 points, 9.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.3 steals, for a 24.4 average in the index rating, while shooting with 61% in his field goals) but reveal just a part of his overall dominance. No opponent could stop Bourousis, who also finished the month by posting his 11th double-double (in the game against Real Madrid) of the season, which is indubitably the best, so far, in his large career.
