On Monday, Antonis Fotsis got a Turkish passport on his hands, fulfilling the wish of his late mother and also opening the door of the Turkish market for good.
The mother of Fotsis was an Istanbul-born Greek and he wanted for his children to have dual citizenship. Fotsis’ brother already had two passports and it was also time for the Panathinaikos player to do the same according to SDNA.gr. However, if Fotsis joins a Turkish team (he becomes a free agent this summer) his status will still be the one of a foreign player, since he hasn’t played in a youth team or in the national team.
Mevcut kurallara göre Fotsis, ligde yerli statüsünde oynayamaz. Altyapıdan yetişmedi, Türk Milli Takımı'nda oynayamıyor.
