Thanks to a 29-12 run in the first quarter, Cedevita destroyed Crvena Zvezda and ended Euroleague’s top 16 with an easy home victory (83-62). On the other hand, the Serbians had already qualified and now have their sights set on their play-off matches against CSKA Moscow.
For the winners, Jacob Pulen had 22 points, on 8 of 11 shooting, as three more players scored in double figures. On the other hand, Vladimir Stimac made an impressive double-double (18 points, 11 rebounds) for the losing squad.
In the beginning, Cedevita executed perfectly on both ends of the floor and quickly earned a double-digit advantage (19-9), closing the first quarter in front by 17 points (29-12).
Later, things didn’t change much (37-14, 41-23), as the hosts comfortably retained their lead, after 20 minutes in the game, and never looked back (52-31).
In the second half, the situation remained the same, with the visitors being unable to make a come-back and playing very badly both defensively and offensively (57-33, 68-45, 75-56). Consequently, the Croatians earned the victory (83-62) and ended Euroleague’s top 16 in a positive way.
