With both teams knowing their fate before the end of the game, it was a game of pride between Dogus Darussafaka and Lokomotiv Kuban which ended with a 87-86 win for the hosts.
It was a nice way to end the first ever Euroleague season for Dogus Darussafaka, even if Lokomotiv Kuban was the team that advanced to the playoffs, having the home court advantage. Luke Harandogy with 15 points and 7 rebounds added one good game to his season, while Reggie Redding and Scotty Wilbekin added 12 and 11 crucial points respectively.
Victor Claver cut the lead of the hosts to one point (84-83) with 71 seconds left, Furkan Aldemir answered with a two (86-83) and Wilbekin made a crucial steal, which was coupled with 1/2 free throws by Redding (87-83), 20 seconds before the final buzzer. The final score was the product of a three by Chris Singleton who had in total 12 points, like Claver.
Lokomotiv had a 47-38 first half lead, but playing without a motive proved to be an issue. The hosts tied the game at 66 with their first shot in the last period and in the end everything was decided by details.
