Thanks to a great performance in the fourth quarter (20-28), Laboral Kutxa beat Panathinaikos in Athens (75-84) and qualified to the Final-4 with a sweep (3-0).
For the winners, Darius Adams had 24 points, with Mike James adding 20. On the other hand, Miroslav Raduljica scored 13 points and grabbed eight rebounds, as three more players scored in double figures.
In the beginning, both teams made a good start (11-10, 17-15), with the visitors ending the first quarter in front by three (17-20).
Later, the Spaniards continued to have control of the game (26-30, 28-38), however the hosts cut the deficit to five points, at the end of the first half (37-42).
In the second half, the Greens went on a 7-2 run to tie the game (44-44) and things didn’t change much until the end of the third quarter, which saw Laboral Kutxa have an one-point advantage (55-56).
In the fourth quarter, the Spaniards executed very well on both ends of the floor and outscored their opponents 28-20 to secure their win and their qualification to the Final-4.
