Sasa Djordjevic is no longer the coach of Panathinaikos. After the game between the Greens and Laboral Kutxa, the Serbian coach met with the owner of the team, Dimitris Giannakopoulos and it was mutually decided to end their cooperation.
There were many twists and turns this season for the Greens and Djordjevic was considered responsible for the sweep of the team by Laboral Kutxa. The general consensus around the club was that the coach never managed to get things working properly on the court and in the most crucial moment Diamantidis was left alone to fight with no real help by anyone.
