Fenerbahce advanced to the Euroleague Final Four for a second consecutive season, by sweeping reigning champion Real Madrid 3-0, with a superb team output which resulted to some great basketball. Yet one specific player shined the brightest among his teammates: Ekpe Udoh, Euroleague MVP for April
It’s not only because of the fact that he finished April with 12.3 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game, but that he absolutely catapulted his performance in the playoff series. It was, after all when his team needed him the most, since apart from his standard duties, he also had to cover for Jan Vesely‘s absence.
With the Czech center injured, Udoh had to double every single of his efforts, and he rose up to the challenge in the most impressive manner imaginable, by averaging 14.3 points, 7.7 rebounds and 2 blocks per game in the playoff series against Real Madrid.
Well deserved MVP of the Month award for Ekpe Udoh.
