In just its second Final Four appearance, Fenerbahce wants to go all the way and this time just the participation in the biggest European basketball event will not be enough.
As Jan Vesely said, after being part of the All Euroleague team: “It’s nice to get the award I take but the biggest thing is to win the trophy. That’s the goal of the team. My injury is gone. All the Fenerbahce fans have been supporting us through the season. I am glad to see them here in Berlin”.
This was more than true, with Fenerbahce fans being around the venue of the awards ceremony and chanting about Fenerbahce and of course, Zeljko Obradovic.
The coach of Fenerbahce who has already won 8 Euroleague title with Partizan, Juventut Badalona, Real Madrid and Panathinaikos when asked about his secret, once more said that things are simple: “I told my new players this summer that they will be part of Fenerbahce and they liked the idea. That’s why they worked hard”.
