According to Turkish sources in Berlin, during a meeting with some management officials from Turkey , Jordi Bertomeu, CEO of Euroleague, confirmed that four Turkish teams will play in Euroleague in the next season.
Since Fenerbahce and Anadolu Efes have already signed closed-contracts and Galatasaray has earned its ticket to Euroleague by winning the Eurocup, then the fourth team will most likely be Darussafaka Dogus, that will play in the competition through a wild card.
Darussafaka Dogus is willing to invest almost 30 million euros, but in order to do that, it must guaranteed participation in next season’s Euroleague. Obviously that played a big part.
