Unics Kazan has checked its ticket for the upcoming Euroleague season, by advancing to the VTB League Finals. The club will return to the elite continental competition after 2014/2015.
Naturally, the president of Unics, Evgeny Bogachev is already making his plans for a new and improved team built with an increased budget. As he said in TASS: “I recently read an interview of Andrei Vatutin, of CSKA Moscow, in which he said that the budget of the club is 35-40 million euros. This is a budget of a team that won the Euroleague. Our task is to perform successfully in the first round. Subsequently, our budget should be doubled and will be of at least 20 million euros”.
“I am sure that it is a feasible task. We will talk with the management and with the sponsors about it. We must also count on the income from the tickets. We will play against the top European clubs: Real Madrid, Olympiacos, CSKA Moscow and others. The occupancy of the arena will be at its maximum.” he concluded.
