Abass added to Milano’s roster

Emporio Armani Milano agreed on terms with Awudu Abass, 2.00, born in Como, on January 27, 1993. He was playing for Cantu.

Awudu Abass, a small forward, made his debut in Serie A in Cantù, in 2010/11. During the last three seasons he gained minutes and opportunities. He averaged 3.3 points per game in 2013/14, 5.7 in 2014/15 and exploded during the last season when he closed at 13.1 points per game with 30.6 minutes of playing time to go along with 5.7 rebounds per game. He shot 35.0% from three.

Abass became an Italian citizen when he turn 18, his father is of Ghanese origin and his mother is from Nigeria. In 2013 he won the European gold medal at the Under 20 European championship and was also included on the All-Torunament first team. In Milano he is expected to have a key role both in the Italian league and in the Euroleague.
