Mission is about to be accomplished for Fenerbahce! After Jan Vesely, According to Eurohoops sources Ekpe Udoh is ready to sign a new multiyear deal with the Istanbul club, leaving the NBA waiting.
To be exact, the situation with Udoh still is more complicated compared to Vesely. Many NBA teams were and still are interested on Udoh. His name is still mentioned in many reports about the Golden State Warriors, the team that drafted him with the number 6 pick back in 2010. However, Fenerbahce is finalizing a deal which will keep him in Istanbul for more than next season, even if the contract is expected to include NBA out clauses for each summer.
The Turkish club will keep its front line intact. Very few moves are left to be made by the team of coach Obradovic, which has the same core with last season and it’s already considered one of the main contenders for the Euroleague title, after getting to the final this year.
And more to that, Fenerbahce in the case of Vesely and, if nothing spectacular happens in the next few hours, also in the case of Udoh managed to keep its players in Istanbul by beating the offers that they had from the NBA.
