After a certain tweet (now deleted) made by Quincy Miller regarding some delayed payments from his former team, Crvena Zvezda, the Serbian team released an official statement on the matter via Davor Ristovic, the club’s Sports Director.
“Crvena Zvezda wants to inform that according to our former player Quincy Miller, there were certain obligations towards him by the club. The club has been in continuous contact regarding this matter with his agent.
In accordance to the rules of Crvena Zvezda, who become known to all the players before signing a contract, there are bonuses for achieving successes, but also sanctions and penalties for non-compliance with the rules of the organization.
Crvena zvezda is a big club and doesn’t want to communicate through the media with it’s former player, whose non-compliance with multiple contract rules caused punishments, about which his manager also had been informed and about which club possesses very large documentation.”
In the announced, the club also mentioned that: “We wish a speedy recovery to our former player, who had signed multiyear contract with Maccabi on March 13, 2016, after the game vs Panathinaikos”.
