Euroleague Basketball announced that Oscar Mayer, one of the global leaders in the meat and cold cuts industries, is the latest addition to its family of partners. Oscar Mayer has agreed to a multi-year deal that will make it a regional partner in Spain for games of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and 7DAYS EuroCup. The sides formalized the deal on Friday with a press conference at WiZink Center in the Spanish capital, where later in the evening 2015 EuroLeague champion Real Madrid will host 2014 winner Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv.

As part of the partnership, Oscar Mayer plans to have a strong digital engagement based on content with its own dedicated website, oscarmayerbasketexperience.com, where fans can take part in weekly contests and win exciting prizes, including game tickets and signed jerseys. The site will feature a special contest highlighting the top blocked shots in every round of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague. Oscar Mayer will also present the “Block of the Night”, bringing Turkish Airlines Euroleague’s highest flyers to the fans after each set of games. Additionally, Oscar Mayer will sponsor select in-arena entertainment and fan contests throughout the EuroLeague, including the kiss cam and Crazy Dunkers shows.

“To have a world-renowned company like Oscar Mayer with us helps Euroleague Basketball meet our objective about having partners that are part of people’s lives in moments that go beyond sports,” Roser Queralto, Euroleague Basketball’s Chief Business Development Officer, said. “This multi-year agreement is also going to enhance the enjoyment of basketball by giving fans added-value experiences in and around the games. It also highlights the relevance of Euroleague Basketball in Spain, one of the sport’s most important countries on TV, digital and arena audience.”

“For us it’s an honor to partner up with the reference of basketball in Europe, the EuroLeague,” Laura Alvarez, Marketing Director of Oscar Mayer Spain, said. “It gives us amazing visibility in Spain and all around Europe by accessing the best basketball clubs in Europe.”
