The final score was 102-80 as Milos Teodosic returned to action with 16 points and 4 assists and thanks to their amazing three point shooting accuracy (13/22) the hosts dominated the game.
To be exact they started the game with 33-26 lead at the first period, which was extented to 12 points at half time (58-46) and despite a third quarter comeback by Zvezda which cut the lead to six (62-56) the Russian entered the last period with 13 points advantage (77-64). There was no coming back after that for the Serbs.
Luka Mitrovic tried his best with 16 points, Charles Jenkins had 12, but the Serbs couldn’t stop the shooting exhibition of CSKA which also made 22 out of 32 two-pointers and missed only one free throw (19/20). Defense was an issue and against those numbers you can’t do much.
CSKA Moscow proved once again that as the defending champions they are the team to beat and the Cinderella of the EuroLeague without their starting point guard couldn’t create a road upset.
