Nikos Zisis will remain a Brose Bamberg player until summer of 2019 after signing a two-year extension, according to Eurohoops sources.
The veteran guard and 2008 EuroLeague champion (with CSKA Moscow) had been in talks with the German club for a possible contract renewal during which the Bavarians made quite obvious how much they want to keep him in the squad. Thus, Zisis agreed to sign the two-year extension even before the end of the season when he would’ve become a free agent.
Zisis, 32, penned a two-year deal with Brose Bamberg on summer 2015. Last year he averaged 10.1 points, 3.6 assists and 2.7 rebounds helping his team reach the Top 16 for the third time in the franchise’s history. In the German League he scored 9.7 points, dished out 3.6 assists and grabbed 2.4 rebounds per game as Bamberg won the championship title for second time in a row.
