After a break of one week, the EuroLeague is back and, in fact, without any other breaks for the next month and a half, when the regular season ends. The fantasy challenge is also heading down the homestretch, with the interest rising dramatically.
Before we go ahead with the analysis of this round, let us remind you that through the Eurohoops fantasy tool you can make calculations regarding the best possible choices all on your own.
The first player who is going to depart is Vitor Faverani, who is no longer undervalued (though he did provide 20 whole credits and lots of points) and doesn’t have such a big role in Barcelona.
Andrew Goudelock is also going to be let go from the team as he’s facing CSKA, whose defense can effectively contain their opponents’ best player. Maccabi’s American guard consistently has a smaller ranking than he has points and even though he’s “hot” it’s going to be difficult for him to produce a high rating.
The third change is either going to be Khem Birch, who is not going to have an easy task on Fenerbahce’s home court, or Bogdan Bogdanovic, who in turn will have to go up against the best defense in the EuroLeague, Olympiacos’s.
Both have good chances for a high score, but Birch is the one chosen to stay on since he can hold his own against Fenerbahce’s big men, while Bogdanovic is more expensive and his exit can provide a greater range of options in terms of new acquisitions.
The first to join the team is going to be Chris Singleton who can easily make the difference against Unics. Panathinaikos’s American big man only has two single-digit games in the last 17, is coming off a very good Greek Cup final and can help your team considerably.
Rakim Sanders is also looking in good form from the Italian cup. Milan’s forward had 16,3 points and a ranking of 16,6 on average in the three games of the Final Eight and he can have a good game against the not very athletic Barcelona team.
Lastly, the pick among the big men is going to be Art Parakhouski, who’s back on the team. Unics’s Belarusian center has a ranking of 21,5 on average in the last four games in the EuroLeague and against Panathinaikos he has the potential to have another good game. After all, in their last few games the Greens have had trouble with heavy centers that play well with their back to the basket, like Pleiss and Kuzmic.
