Zalgiris improved to a 10-13 record after taking down Brose Bamberg (8-15) in Germany 86-91.
Apart from Lekavicius’ notable performance (6/7 2-pointers, 5/5 3-pointers, 2/2 FTs), Paulius Jankunas followed with 24 points for the visiting team.
Nicolo Melli and Daniel Theis scored 17 points each for Bamberg.
Kevin Pangos put the visitors ahead 7-18 at 5′, with a long-range shot, then the Germans approached with a 3-pointer by Theis. After 10 minutes in the game, the Lithuanian side was up 22-28.
Midway through the second period, the hosts managed to approach, yet Jasikevicius’ team pulled away with 6 at 15′, while the halftime score was 45-49.
Bamberg grabbed its first lead in the second half at 24′, with Nikos Zizis placing his team ahead 56-55, then the hosts expanded by 5, before Zalgiris trimmed the deficit to 1 point at 30′, 68-67.
Entering the final quarter, the Lithuanians were able to get the upper hand of the game again. With just two minutes remaining, they managed to stay up 77-83.
