Olympiacos lacked the services of team captain Vassilis Spanoulis in the EuroLeague road loss by Fenerbahce and this will most likely be the case in the upcoming match vs Maccabi Tel Aviv as well.
Spanoulis had suffered a muscle strain on his left abductor in the Greek League game vs Kolossos Rhodes almost 10 days ago and will need some extra recovery time to fully recover.
The Reds, that will look to improve their 16 – 7 and further establish themselves in the Top-4 of the standings, will most likely see Patric Young back in their roster. The American center is good to go for Monday’s (27/2) Greek League game vs Apollon Patras after practicing full time today (25/2).
Maccabi won’t be without problems in this game since Quincy Miller and Joe Alexander are unlikely to play. The Israelis are 12th in the standings (tied with Brose Bamberg) with a 8 – 15 and have very few hopes of making it to the playoffs.
In the game between the two teams for the first leg of the EuroLeague regular season, Maccabi had won 73 – 80 in Piraeus.
