The hosts got the 74-60 win thanks to their defense, their balanced offense and their crowd against a team which was missing one more Janis Strelnieks.

Charles Jenkins with 18 points was the top scorer of the winners, Marko Simonovic added 13 points and 9 rebounds and Marko Guduric scored 12 as the Serbs made one more step to the playoffs, having a 14-10 record.

After a 17-9 first quarter, Zvezda had set the tone. The players of coach Dejan Radonjic led by 14 at halftime (43-29) and by 20 (56-36) during the third period. Bamberg managed to cut their lead to six (63-57) with three minutes left in the game, but the answer of Zvezda was a 6-0 run (69-57) and order was restored.

Fabien Causer with 21 points was the leader of Brose Bamberg which didn’t have any other scorer with more than 9 points and went to the free throw line just three times in the game, making just one.
