Olimpia Milano announced that Mantas Kalnietis will stay out of action for 3 – 4 weeks, following an injury he sustained in the game against Baskonia for the 24th round of the EuroLeague regular season.
The Lithuanian guard felt a muscular discomfort during the match and the examinations he underwent showed that he suffered an injury on his left adductor muscle.
Currently Milano runs short on perimeter options since Zoran Dragic is out for the season. While the “Red Shoes” have no chances of making it to the EuroLeague playoffs, there’s the goal of remaining first in the standings of the Italian League.
Kalnietis averages 7.3 points, 3 assists and 2.3 rebounds in 19 minutes per game in EuroLeague.
