Edgaras Ulanovas scored a 20 points EuroLeague career-high as Zalgiris Kaunas beat Maccabi 93 – 77 in Tel Aviv showing great determination despite not having any chances to advance in the playoffs.
The Lithuanian team improved its record to 13 – 15 while their hosts, out of the playoffs race weeks ago, fell to 10 – 18.
Victor Rudd paced a still struggling with injuries (Andrew Goudelock, Quincy Miller out) Maccabi with 16 points and 4 rebounds while Sylven Landesberg scored 11, Diamon Simpson 10 as many as Devin Smth who also dished out 5 assists.
However the difference in motive was quite different and Maccabi Tel Aviv simply couldn’t much the energy and the desire of the Lithuanians who are ready to fight for the playoffs until the end, doing the best they can.
