Visiting Brose Bamberg overcame Olimpia Milano 76-84 and improved its Euroleague record to 10-18, while forcing the hosts to 7-21.
Fabien Causeur stood out for the winners with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists, as Jerel McNeal added 12 more points.
Bamberg’s convincing start was accompanied with a three-pointers fest that placed them ahead 14-29 at the end of the first period. McLean (8 p.) tried to pace the Italians early in the second period, though the deficit remained in double digits, with Brose leading 36-50 at halftime.
Ricky Hickman (2o p.) trimmed the Germans’ lead to 9 points for the first time in the second half at 28′, 52-63. Miroslav Raduljica (19 p.) made it a 10-point game early in the in the final period (54-64), then a little while after, Mantas Kalnietis (8 p.) scored to reduce to 8 points for the hosts.
