As the American big man said after the game against Olympiacos, Anadolu Efes is finally clicking: “We are a team now. It all starts from defense, protecting the rim, rebounding and this gives us the opportunity for more possessions and uptempo basketball. We play better, we have better consistency as a team, we have chemistry and we enjoy playing with each other”.
And this trend is more than useful for the playoffs: “There are some teams with more quality and more experience and are more likely to be in the Final Four and win the trophy, but in the EuroLeague timing matters. You have to be ready at the right time. We will go to Madrid and do are best in order to finish the regular season as higher as we can. We have the talent to achieve something big in the playoffs”.
Dunston still has a soft spot for Olympiacos and it will be interesting to watch a possible match up of Efes with the Reds. As he explains: “Olympiacos for me is like family. Every time I play them, I feel the need to see my old teammates in the locker room. I have very good memories, we had achieved many things. They will always be in my heart and I recognize that Olympiacos is the team that gave me the opportunity to play at the highest level”.
Dunston is also going to be one of the hottest free agents this summer, but it seems that Anadolu Efes is going to be a top choice for him: “Right now it’s the time to concentrate on the play-offs and I want to give my best. I will wait for the end of the season and then talk to my agent. I want to see all the possible proposals and then decide. I will do the best for me and my family. Still the prospect of staying at Efes is something that I like. I am very pleased here”.
