In its last home game of the season, Zalgiris (13-16) surrendered to Olimpia Milano (8-21) 84-88.
Andrea Cinciarini kept the visitors strong in the final quarter and finished the game with 17 points, same as Jamel McLean, while Ricky Hickman scored 16.
Kevin Pangos was the leading scorer for Zalgiris with 16 points.
The hosts didn’t struggle at all in the beginning of the game, as their perimeter shooting allowed them to grab double-digits leads from early on and even lead the first quarter 27-18.
Milano started to trim the deficit in the second, as Abass and Pascolo placed the visitors ahead 36-37 at 18′. Zalgiris kept a narrow 39-37 lead at halftime.
The hosts tried to regain control of the game again through the perimeter, though the game was at a tie between the two teams at 53 points (27′) and both entered the final period at 63 points.
With less than a minute left and the scored again tied to 77 points, Andrea Cinciarini hit a 3-pointer to put the visitors ahead.
