For the last game in the EuroLeague regular season Baskonia facing already eliminated Zalgiris Kaunas at home and wants a victory in order to finish fifth in the standings.
Something that will bring them against Panathinaikos in the quarterfinals. One of the team’s that Sito Alonso wants to find as opponent and… eliminate in the process. The other one? Olympiacos.
¨My biggest desire is to be able to eliminate Olympiacos or Panathinaikos from the EuroLeague Final Four,” said Alonso. “That’s because these are the two teams we haven’t been able to beat this season. But I don’t want to say anything else right now than that we want to finish the regular season with a victory over a pretty good team like Zalgiris that plays without pressure and is always competitive.”
