The EuroLeague fantasy now enters the final stretch, as the players have dropped to half now and the credits you have accumulated allow you to select the most expensive players in every position, even though mistakes are still lurking.
In Eurohoops’ private league, EVICROCK is in front, followed closely by Ovelix and sani13 hoping to steal the lead as well as the prize that Eurohoops.net is going to hand to the final winner.
The changes are now countless so let’s take a look at the best options ahead of the playoffs. The Eurohoops.net team has 698,7 credits available and so the selections are quite “expensive”.
Among the point guards, Milos Teodosic seems like a must, while his opponent in the series, Shane Larkin, looks like he can make the difference and come up with a big score against CSKA’s defense, which often has a hard time against players of his style. Wanamaker and James are also good options.
Among the backcourt players, every team has to start with De Colo and Singleton, who were exceptionally consistent throughout the season and are expected to continue accordingly. Bogdan Bogdanovic is Fenerbahce’s cornerstone and for them to have any chance at the Olympic Sports Center in Athens, he will have to produce a big score. Lastly, Vassilis Spanoulis wasn’t able to be as consistent in the second half of the regular season because of his injury. However, he has visibly improved recently and due to the importance of the games against Efes, he is expected to have a leading role once again. His value (only 47,5 credits) makes his acquisition a smart and cost-effective choice.
Among the big men, the most consistent choice throughout the year has been Ekpe Udoh, who is expected to put up another big score in the Olympic Sports Center in Athens. Respectively, Printezis will keep having quality games against Efes’s athletic big men as well, with the dilemma being whether Brown or Dunston is going to be more effective in the Peace & Friendship Stadium. We’re going to go with Brown since Olympiacos will have fewer options on their rotation to mark him and he can take on the long-range shots that are usually left to Honeycutt, who is expected to be out due to an injury.
The last choice among the big men is going to be Ante Zizic, who has been inconsistent lately but who can make the difference for Darussafaka against Real’s big men.
