The American big man and former player of Olympiacos was one of the key member of Anadolu Efes throughout the series and in the playoffs averaging 11.7 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2 assists and 1.5 blocks in the first four quarterfinal matches.
Following the loss in Game 5 and his team’s elimination from the Final Four, he wasn’t in the best possible mood for more reasons than the obvious ones.
As he said to Eurohoops: “I played so little, I didn’t need a shower after the game”, indirectly ‘firing shots’ towards the referees’ decisions.
The center of Efes stayed on the floor for 15 minutes and 47 seconds before getting fouled out early in the fourth quarter with the score 70 – 64, finishing with 4 points.
Of course, Dunston still has friends on the roster of Olympiacos and when all was said and done, he had a chance to catch up with sidelined Matt Lojeski, one of his best pals from his days in the Reds.
