A bit more than 24 hours after the end of the VTB League Finals where CSKA Moscow won the title, American point guard Aaron Jackson announced that he won’t be among the “Army Men” in the next season.

With CSKA, Jackson won the 2016 EuroLeague title and five VTB League titles (2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017). Not surprising that he wrote a quite emotional message on his Instagram profile, thanking the Russian club, its management, coaches, staff, teammates and fans for the past five years he spent there while expressing his… “hunger” ahead of his next destination.

Where will that be? There’s already some interest for 31-year-old guard by other EuroLeague clubs such as Anadolu Efes and Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Words are not enough, for me to express how grateful I am for being able to play five years in a club which I am parting ways with.. i am truly thankful for the opportunity Vatutin and Natasha has giving me to allow myself to provide for my family and help bring Cska a championship. As I write this, I find myself fighting tears from falling. I can only think of one reason for my emotional state, and it’s the love and bonding that has developed with people during my duration here. ( entire cska management, coaches, medical staff, fans, supporters, friends and of course my teammates!) these people will be part of me forever, and I don’t want anyone to think I’ve taken it for granted… S?M??❤️… WITH THAT BEING SAID! I HAVENT HAD NEARLY ENOUGH…. #staydown ✌?
