After winning the Serbian championship title and trying to fight back tears, Radonjic explained that the financial woes of the team are bringing him to the exit door: “Now, after the game, I am no longer coach of Zvezda. We talked with president Nebojsa Covic, but the talks were not realistic. Much need to be done in order for Zvezda to move forward, much need to be build and I hope that things will continue in this direction. The desire is not debatable, but in these circumstances it is not realistic for me to stay”.
Radonjic gave all the credit to the players: “It was difficult because of various things during the season and no matter what, we demonstrated that we’re a team. It was not easy in those kind of conditions, I was forced to be a lot around the team, because of the debts and the late payments, but we were able to show character and express loyalty. it was a moment of crisis, but we are talking about a great season and that’s why the result becomes even more important”.
