The deal of Thomas Heurtel with Barcelona was already struck and his transfer is set to be officially announced tomorrow, according to Eurohoops sources.
As Eurohoops already reported, the French point guard will join the Blaugrana for the next two seasons and will return to the Spanish League where he previously played for Baskonia for 2011 to 2014
The 28-year-old player averaged 12.7 points and 5.6 assists per game last in EuroLeague as a member of Anadolu Efes, reaching the competition’s playoffs.
Heurtel’s addition isn’t related in any way with the interest of Barcelona towards Shane Larkin. Sito Alonso is still “wooing” the American point guard he coached last season in Baskonia to convince him to join the squad in “Palau” with the purpose of creating an offensively powerful backcourt lineup.
