Khimki Moscow officially announced that veteran Russian center Dmitry Sokolov stays with the team after signing a new 1+1 deal.
The 32-year-old player has been wearing the Khimki jersey since 2015. During the previous season he averaged 4.1 points and 1.8 rebounds in 11 minutes per game in EuroCup.
Newly appointed Khimki head coach Giorgos Bartzokas chose to keep Sokolov in the roster as veteran backup option for his frontline.
Throughout his career, Sokolov has played for nearly all major Russian teams. He’s a two-time VTB League and four-time Russian League champion with CSKA Moscow.
