One of the biggest (for multiple reasons) transfers during the European summer market is now official.
Sinan Guler will be a Fenerbahce player after signing a 2+1 deal with the reigning EuroLeague champions, per the club’s official announcement. It’s the team’s first signing of a new player ahead of the upcoming season.
The now former captain of Galatasaray (the arch-rival of Fenerbahce) arrives to his new team following the best season of so far since he completed the 2016/2017 EuroLeague with career-high averages 10.5 points and 5.6 assists per game.
Guler, 33, is also the captain of the Turkish national team. His trophy case includes the 2016 EuroCup title with Galatasaray plus the 2009 Turkish League and Cup title along with the 2010 SuperCup when he was playing for Anadolu Efes.
