To be exact Fenerbahce Dogus announced that there’s a principle agreement between the two sides and the contract will be signed soon.
The 25 years old forward remains a key member of the core of the team. He was added at the roster during the summer of 2015 and despite not having flashy numbers (7.5 ppg, 3.1 rpg in EuroLeague), he is the glue guy of the team and the player who do all the little things.
He already had a contract for the upcoming season, but is now signing for another two years, which will keep him in the club until the end of 2019-2020 campaign. Kalinic made his EuroLeague debut in 2014-15 with Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade, and has previously also played in his native Serbia for KK Novi Sad, Vojvodina and Radnicki Kragujevac. Kalinic is also a regular member of the Serbian national team, with whom he has won silver medals at the 2014 FIBA World Cup and the 2016 Olympic Games.
This move completes the plan of Fenerbahce and the next move that’s expected to be announced is the addition of Nicolo Melli.
