While Barcelona is waiting to hear from Baskonia regarding the cases of Shane Larkin and Adam Hanga, it’s also moving to fill some other gaps in its roster.

American forward Rakim Sanders will sign a one-year contract with Blaugrana as sources close to the talks confirmed to Eurohoops.

Sanders, 27, comes to add a pinch of athleticism and energy Barcelona was severely lacking last year. He’s arriving to his new team from Olimpia Milano with which he spent the two previous seasons following his back-to-back Italian League championship and Finals MVP titles with Dinamo Sassari.

During the previous season, Sanders was among the top players of the “Red Shoes”, averaging 12.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.1 steals per game.

The interest of Barcelona towards the players was first reported by Spanish website Encestando.
