EA7 Emporio Armani Milan added a serious scoring threat to its backcourt by signing a deal with shooting guard Andrew Goudelock, the club announced Monday.
Goudelock arrives from Maccabi Tel Aviv, where he averaged 17.3 points on 45.8% three-point shooting, 2.9 assists and 2.6 rebounds in 20 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games last season. Despite battling injuries, Goudelock was the third-best scorer in the competition among qualified EuroLeague players.
He previously played for Fenerbahce Dogus Istanbul during the 2014-15 season, helping his team make it to its first-ever Final Four as its scoring leader (17 ppg., second overall in that campaign) and earning All-EuroLeague Second Team honors in the process.
A year earlier, Goudelock was chosen as the 2013-14 7DAYS EuroCup MVP, as he helped Unics Kazan reach the Finals, losing against Valencia Basket.
During his professional career, Goudelock has also played for Houston and Los Angeles Lakers of the NBA, Sioux Falls and Rio Grande of D-League and Xinjiang Flying Tigers of China. He has also earned MVP honors in the 2012-13 D-League and the 2013-14 VTB League.
Goudelock helped Unics win the Russian Cup title in 2014 and lifted the Israeli Cup trophy with Maccabi this year.
He is the fifth-best scorer in Turkish Airlines EuroLeague all-time, averaging 17.1 points in 49 games. Only the late Alphonso Ford (22.2 ppg.), Panagiotis Liadelis (19.3 ppg.), Arvydas Macijauskas (17.4 ppg.) and Keith Langford (17.14 ppg.) have a better scoring average than him since the EuroLeague started in 2000.
He also holds a EuroLeague all-time record for most three-pointers in a EuroLeague game, hitting 10 for Fenerbahce against FC Bayern Munich on November 13, 2014.
