It has already been reported that the Philadelphia 76ers will lack any room for Jonah Bolden in next season’s roster and they will have to stash him in Europe.
While Bolden currently belongs to Crvena Zvezda he ultimately may end up playing in Israel for Maccabi Tel Aviv.
According to Novosti, Maccabi has made an offer to Red Star for the 21-year-old Australian player, that equals the amount ($675.000) of his NBA buyout.
If the deal is struck then the Serbian club will receive a much needed economic boost while Maccabi will add a power forward with plenty of athleticism and a notable ability to threaten from the perimeter.
Bolden finished the previous season in FMP before getting drafted by the Sixers with the 36th overall pick. He’s made a more than good impression in the Summer League but it seems that next season will find him making his debut in EuroLeague.
